OK Group joins Mundimoto’s shareholding through its OK Ventures division
OK Ventures, the venture capital division of the OK Group, has acquired a stake in Mundimoto, a Catalan company that is Europe’s leading online motorbike sales and rental company.
This agreement also includes a strategic partnership between Mundimoto and OK Mobility, the global mobility platform of OK Group, to expand the rental offer with large-displacement motorbikes. This achievement has been possible thanks to the creation of a Joint Venture between the two platforms.
With this partnership, OK Mobility users will be able to choose from three motorbike models: the Kawasaki Z500, the Kawasaki Vulcan S Tourer and the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Explore. Initially, these motorbikes will be available at OK Mobility’s OK Store at Madrid Airport and Barcelona Mas Blau, key locations to travel throughout mainland Spain, with plans to expand this offer to more destinations where the company operates.
Josep Talavera, founder and CEO of Mundimoto, highlighted the importance of this partnership, saying: “This agreement with OK Mobility is another step forward in our growth and diversification strategy. We join a leading company setting the standard for how things are done. This partnership enables us to respond to an existing demand and to be leaders in the provision of an innovative service. I am convinced it will deliver profitable results for both companies“.
Othman Ktiri, Founder of OK Group and CEO of OK Mobility, said: “In our commitment to global mobility, we continue to add new vehicle alternatives so that our customers can choose the option that best caters to their needs. This partnership with Mundimoto will enable us to continue strengthening and diversifying our fleet while we keep growing.
OK Group joins this innovative project, a pioneer in its sector, which proposes a disruptive business model by replacing traditional processes with digitised methods that are sustainable in the long term.
