240 participants competed in the 20th Swimming Tour against Cystic Fibrosis, organised by the Fundación Respiralia foundation, which for the second consecutive year had the support of OK Rent a Car.
Over three days, from Friday the 28th to Sunday the 30th of June, the participants celebrated the 20 years of the race. Swimmers from Germany, Denmark, Spain, the United Kingdom and Switzerland formed part of this charity swimming race with the aim of increasing the population’s awareness of Cystic Fibrosis, a serious condition which affects the respiratory tracts and digestive system. Thanks to all the entries in this edition, 800 respiratory physiotherapy sessions can be funded, of the 1,600 that the Foundation schedules each year.
At OK Rent a Car, we wish to convey our commitment to society by supporting charity causes such as the race, in which professional and amateur swimmers participate each year, swimming the perimeter of the island in two phases of between 1.8 and 3.6 kilometres. For this reason, we have covered the mobility needs of participants and volunteers during the three days of the race.
