The Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy has in this edition had the participation of three crews made up fully of women, competing in the J80 class. OK Rent a Car has sponsored one of these, the Dorsia Sailing Team, a team which reached the podium of the tournament held last weekend in Barcelona: 3rd place in the general classification and 1st place as women’s champions of the Conde de Godó Trophy 2019.
The Dorsia Sailing Team is made up of 9 female racers who are passionate about sailing and the sea. Captained by Anna Puyol Pujal, they have two-time Olympic champion Natalia Vía-Dufresne as helmsperson. Completing the team are Núria Sánchez Nomdedeu, Aina Lleonart Pizà, Fátima Diz, Marta Martínez and Olimpia Corral Bosch. On Friday the 24th of May, the official presentation of the team was held at the installations of the Royal Barcelona Yacht Club, the organising entity of the competition. All eyes are now on the J80 World Championship which will be held in Getxo (Vizcaya) and the Copa del Rey Mapfre, in the new Women’s Cup division for sailing Viper 640 class.
OK Rent a Car has carried out official transport during the tournament, providing transport for the racers. We are proud to accompany one of the three women’s teams which form part of the Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy, in our aim to continue efforts to place value on women in sport.
